  • What services do you offer?
    Well - we offer it all! We do HR consulting, outsourcing, recruitment, workshops, training, and more. We suggest you pop over to our services page (click here and we'll take you there!) to get an idea of what we can offer. If you're still not clear, just send us an email!
  • Do you work with not-for-profits?
    Again - YES! We actually have years of experience in the not-for-profit sector, and understand the unique HR needs that go along with it. Our competitive rates also make us a great choice for not-for-profits who need to watch where every dollar goes.
  • Where are you located?
    Our team is local to Calgary, Alberta. However, our consultants work remotely, so we're certainly not limited to the city! We can work with clients anywhere in Canada through email, phone, and Zoom. Of course, we love to pay a visit in person and get to know our clients, but if travel cost is a concern, we're happy to help remotely, regardless of where your business may be located.
  • I'm looking for a job. Can you help me?
    You bet! While we are NOT a placement agency, we do offer candidate services for job seekers. We can write your resume, revise an existing resume, prepare you for an interview, or give career coaching guidance. Check out our services tab for details or send us an email to connect!
  • I only have a few employees, do I really need HR?
    Even if you only have one employee - HR is still important. Of course, your needs will be much smaller than larger businesses, but there are still basics that are important regardless of size. You should consider having basic policies in place that protect your organization. You may also want an employee handbook that sets out clear expectations for your staff and answers common questions. And, when situations arise that you're not sure how to handle, we can help with affordable hourly HR support to keep you on track. Think of some of the following scenarios you might face: - An employee used all their sick days but can't return to work yet, and you're not sure of the options. - An employee isn't performing well or meeting expectations, and you want to know your legal obligations. - An employee has a medical condition that requires an accommodation, but you're not sure what is reasonable or required. These are common workplace scenarios, no matter how many employees you have. That's where we're here to help, so you can spend less time combing through Google and more time focused on running or growing your business.
  • I already have in-house HR support, does that mean I don't need a consulting firm?
    If you already have HR - that's amazing! While that means some of our services wouldn't make sense for you, there is still a lot of value we can bring to your company. Our clients with existing HR teams typically reach out to us for a fresh set of eyes, or extra hands on deck for projects. Think of things like HR technology implementation, restructuring projects, culture audits from a neutral party, HR audits, or even temporary HR support to cover an absence on your team. We're not here to replace your team, but rather to compliment what you already have in place.
  • Do you offer payment plans?
    We're proud to be one of the only HR firms in Canada that offers flexible payment plans. We also accept a variety of payment methods, including credit cards. We understand cash flow isn't always predictable, and many small businesses may not have upfront funding for services, but we don't think that should be the barrier preventing you from accessing services. If you have payment concerns, just let us know during our initial consultation and we can work out a plan.
  • How much does HR consulting really cost?
    This is tricky to answer, because every business has different needs, but we'll try to give you an idea. Our HR or recruitment outsourcing starts at only $500/month. That's a whole lot less than trying to hire on your own full time staff! With the time and energy you'll save, you're almost guaranteed to end up cost neutral on this investment. Our most popular service is employee handbook development (including policy writing!) which starts at only $3600. You don't need to break the bank to have strong policies that protect you, your business, and your employees.
  • I'm a small business. Can I really afford HR consulting?
    YES! We actually love working with small businesses. We like to get to know you and your business, and appreciate the working relationship we can build with smaller businesses. That's why we keep our rates affordable. We know there are a lot of consulting firms out there chasing after the big fish, but we think HR consulting should be accessible to everybody.
